  • This sleeping bag actually saved my life!

Five of my friends and I were recently on an extended hike in Montana, we were scrambling through a boulder field and I misjudged a jump and ended up breaking my leg. Aside from the insane pain associated with this, we had to figure out how to get me back down and to a hospital..... It was a NIGHTMARE. About an hour after I had snapped my leg, my adrenaline started to die off and I started going into shock, my body was shutting down and going into survive mode. I started to shake uncontrollably from the cold, luckily we had one of these emergency sleeping bags and after they got this around me I was able to stabilize and we made it down, I can't believe how something so small can make such a HUGE difference in an emergency.

What Is the X Blanket?

This Is Not a Blanket. It Is a Sealed Thermal Envelope.

A regular blanket tries to trap warm air around your body. That works indoors. It works in dry conditions. It works when the temperature is mild.

It stops working the moment conditions get real.

Wet blankets drain your body heat. Coats lose insulation when they are soaked. Car heaters die when the engine dies. Space heaters die when the power dies. Every normal source of warmth your family depends on needs either dry conditions or a power source.

Take away one of those and your body starts losing core temperature immediately.

The X Blanket does not work like any of those.

It is a full body sealed envelope. You do not wrap it around you and hope. You get inside it. It surrounds your body from shoulders to feet. Sealed on three sides. No gaps for wind. No openings for rain. No way for cold air to reach you from below, above, or the sides.

And instead of trying to generate warmth from the outside, it uses what your body is already making.

Think of it as a mirror for your own heat.

Your body produces infrared energy constantly. Every second. Even when you feel cold. Under normal conditions that energy radiates away from you and disappears into the air. That is why you feel cold. You are losing heat faster than your body can replace it.

The X Blanket catches that energy and reflects 90% of it back onto you. Instead of your heat escaping, it stays. Instead of fighting the cold, your own body warms you.

That is why it works when wet clothes fail. It does not absorb water. That is why it works when the power is out. It does not need electricity. That is why it works in wind. It is sealed, not open.

One material. One design. Zero dependencies.

The Material (Why It Works)

Originally Developed by NASA. Now Protecting Families.

In the 1960s NASA had a problem. Spacecraft and satellites in orbit experience temperature swings of over 500 degrees between sunlight and shadow. They needed a material that could manage extreme heat and extreme cold without weight, without bulk, and without any power source.

Their engineers developed a reflective thermal film. A thin layer of aluminum bonded to a flexible base material that reflects infrared radiation instead of absorbing it.

It worked. It has been used in every NASA mission since.

The same principle is inside the X Blanket.

PE thermal film with a reflective aluminum-coated interior. When you are inside the envelope, this film catches your body's infrared energy, the invisible heat you are constantly radiating, and reflects 90% of it back toward you.

It does not generate heat. It does not need fuel or batteries. It does not care whether it is wet or dry. It reflects what your body is already producing.

That is why it works in conditions where every other source of warmth fails.

Here is what it does not do. It does not absorb water, which means it never becomes a heat pump working against you the way wet fabric does. It does not need airflow, which means sealed wind cannot pull warmth away. It does not degrade in rain, meaning you can use it in the exact conditions that destroy regular blankets.

Waterproof. Windproof. Reflects 90% of body heat. No batteries. No power. No dependencies.

Your body does the work. The X Blanket makes sure that work is not wasted.

Use Cases

One Product. Every Situation Where Cold Can Reach You.

The X Blanket weighs 4 ounces and packs smaller than a soda can. But it unfolds into a full size 7ft long 3ft wide
thermal envelope that covers your entire body.

It can also be used as a SOS signal as it shines bright in the sun.

You will forget it is there. Until the moment you need it. Then it becomes the most important thing you own.

🚗 In Your Car
Keep one in the glovebox or center console. Car breakdowns, traffic shutdowns, flash floods, winter storms. Your engine is your heater. When the engine stops, the X Blanket starts. The average roadside wait during a winter weather event is 2 to 4 hours. That is long enough for hypothermia to begin. It is not long enough for help to arrive.

🎒 In Your Kid's School Bag
You cannot always be with your children. But you can make sure they have warmth that works without you. Power outage at school. Bus breakdown. After-school practice when the weather turns. A 4 ounce pouch in the bottom of their bag that you never think about until the one afternoon it matters.

👜 In Your Wife's Purse
She drives alone. She runs errands. She picks up the kids. She is on the road more than you think. A sealed thermal envelope that weighs less than her phone and works without a heater, without dry conditions, and without you being there.

🏈 At Every Outdoor Event
Football games. Soccer tournaments. Tailgates. Concerts. Camping trips. Fishing. Farmers markets. Anywhere you sit or stand in cold for longer than you planned. The X Blanket is not just for emergencies. It is for every moment when you are cold and tired of pretending you are not.

🏠 During a Power Outage
No grid. No furnace. No space heater. No electric blanket. Texas 2021 proved that a house without power is just a box. The X Blanket works independent of your home's entire heating system. When everything shuts down, your body heat is still running. The X Blanket makes sure it stays with you.

⛺ On Any Camping or Hiking Trip
Use it as a standalone emergency shelter. Slide it inside your sleeping bag for an instant warmth boost on cold nights. Use it as a ground cover to block cold from below. Use it as a wind barrier around your campsite. Use it as a rain layer over your gear. At 4 ounces, there is no reason not to bring it.

🆘 In Any Emergency Kit, Go-Bag, or First Aid Setup
Hurricanes. Tornadoes. Ice storms. Floods. Earthquakes. Every emergency checklist tells you to prepare for warmth. Most people think that means blankets. Blankets get wet and become useless. The X Blanket is the thermal layer that works after everything else has failed.

What Changes When Every Person In Your Family Has One

You stop checking the weather with a knot in your stomach.

You stop wondering what happens if your wife's car breaks down on a back road in January.

You stop doing the mental math on whether your kid's hoodie is warm enough for the game tonight.

You stop thinking about the gap between where your family is and where your warmth is. Because the warmth is with them now. In the glovebox. In the purse. In the school bag. In the coat pocket.

It weighs 4 ounces. It costs less than dinner. It sits there doing nothing for months.

And then one night, one storm, one breakdown, one power outage, one moment where the plan falls apart and your family is exposed, it becomes the reason they are okay.

That is not paranoia. That is being the person who thought ahead.

Be that person.

Every car. Every bag. Every person you are responsible for.

    Easy to set up
You can't beat the size and weight of this emergency pack. I purchased a few of these—one for my mountaineering pack, one for my emergency go-bag, and one to leave in the glove box of my car. Because it works as a highly visible signal and a thermal blanket, it’s a must-have for unexpected breakdowns or weather shifts. Essential safety gear that takes up zero space.
